Merry Enriquez(Teacher of the two-day Lions Class)

           Merry first knew Brooklyn Preschool as a parent member and has been teaching here since March 2006. She has a B.A. in Theatre Arts and Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon Robert D. Clark Honors College. Merry grew up in Portland, attended a cooperative preschool in North Portland -from which the memory of the Bounce Room has finally made it to Brooklyn!- and lived in Italy prior to starting her family. She lives in NE Portland with her two daughters and also teaches art and craft workshops and camps for children at her home and after school at Atkinson Elementary School. Merry also works as a recreation leader for Portland Parks & Recreation's Senior Recreation program. Merry is a Parent Child Preschools of Oregon Board Member since 2008.

Cindy Bouné (Teacher of the three-day Dragonfly Class)

Cindy began teaching the dragonfly class this fall (2011). She was attracted to Brooklyn preschool because of the amazing community that is fostered here between the school, families and students. Cindy received her B.A. in sociology from The Ohio State University and studied at San Jose State University in California where she received her teaching license. She taught third grade for three years in California prior to starting her family. She then worked as an Education Specialist for families that home-schooled their children. Most recently she was the Co-owner & teacher at The Dancing Easel, where she taught art and Kindermusik classes as well as a 3 day art and music based preschool program. Cindy grew up in California, lived in Ohio for 2 years, then returned to California for six years before moving to Portland in 2004. She now lives in SE Portland with her husband, Ron and two sons, Justus and Zaden. When Cindy isn't at school enjoying teaching, she is hiking and backpack camping with her family, attending her children's soccer games, baking pies and making Jewelry!
